Our physiotherapy services are designed to address your immediate challenges and work towards long-term functional improvement.

NDIS, Aged Care, Home and Community Visits

We come to you, whether at home, work, or in the community, to provide real-world assessment, intervention, and care planning support. Our physiotherapy services can support you in improving strength, coordination, independence and overall physical function.

We also offer:

  • Swelling management (including lymphoedema and lipoedema)
  • Equipment prescription and provision
  • Individualised care planning
  • Manual handling training for support teams
  • Report writing, as required


All services are aligned with your goals to ensure meaningful and effective support.

Please note: We offer physiotherapy services under the NDIS for both self-managed and plan-managed participants. Laneways is not a registered provider.

Lymphoedema, Lipodaema and Oedema management

Nadia is a qualified lymphoedema therapist, registered with the Australasian Lymphology Association.

She has extensive experience in the assessment and management of both oedema and lymphoedema.
We offer comprehensive support tailored to your needs, combining clinical expertise with compassion. Each consultation is guided by the latest evidence-based research to ensure safe and effective care.

Services include:

  • Education and self-management advice
  • Limb measurements and ongoing monitoring
  • Prescription of compression garments or bandaging
  • Prescription of Sequential Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (SIPC) systems
  • Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD)


We create personalised treatment plans using a combination of manual therapy, compression management, and movement strategies. Our goal is to reduce discomfort, improve mobility, and provide practical tools for long-term management and confidence in daily life.

Disability Equipment Prescription

From mobility aids to adaptive devices, we can help make sure you have the tools you need to navigate your environment confidently and comfortably, reducing barriers to your active participation in life. We have advanced skills in plus size (medical term: Bariatric) equipment prescription.

In-person physiotherapy sessions are held at Inner North Endocrinology, Carlton North. We offer community visits across Melbourne. And online telehealth services are available nationally.

Online session: Navigating medical weight loss

Our 60-minute telehealth educational sessions provide clear, evidence-based guidance on navigating medical weight loss, tailored to your specific circumstances and goals.

We’ll present easy-to-understand information about the science behind obesity and share the different evidence-supported weight loss options.

The information in this session is presented without judgement. At the end, we’ll develop an action plan that includes recommendations for weight loss providers – if you decide that fits with your goals.

Ergonomic Workplace Setup

Creating a workspace that truly fits your body shouldn’t be a challenge. Our ergonomic assessments help you work comfortably and confidently, with solutions tailored to your unique needs.

We’ll work with you to improve your workstation setup, address existing pain or discomfort and then recommend suitable equipment and practical movement strategies.

Note: We recommended this session occur via Telehealth or Home Visit so we can see your desk setup and help you make real time adjustments.

FAQ

No referral is required to schedule an appointment with us. As primary healthcare providers, physiotherapists are equipped to assess and manage various health conditions. Should further investigations be necessary, we will make the appropriate referrals.

Please bring any relevant medical reports or imaging scans to your appointment. This information will help us provide the most informed and effective treatment.

Yes! If you have a chronic medical condition, your GP may be able to create a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan-sometimes called a GP Management Plan or Team Care Arrangement. This plan can provide up to five Medicare-subsidised allied health visits per calendar year, which can include physiotherapy. You must seek this plan with your GP PRION to seeing us.

We also accept all major private health funds. While we cannot determine the exact rebate as it varies per individual policy, we will provide you with a receipt to claim from your health fund.

Yes we provide care to plan managed and self managed participants. We are not a registered provider. This means we adhere to the NDIS Code of Conduct, have an effective complaints management process (see below) and each staff member has undergone an NDIS worker screen but we have not gone through the NDIS business audit process. We cannot provide service to NDIA managed participants.

Yes, we look forward to engaging with you and your home care provider.

We kindly request 48-hours notice for cancellations. Appointments cancelled within 48 hours or missed without any notice will incur a fee equivalent to the consultation price.

Our clinic is based in Inner North Endocrinology at 771 Nicholson Street, Carlton North. It is located on the ground floor with level access at the entry. The clinic is fully wheelchair accessible, including a spacious accessible bathroom.

There is ample street parking on Nicholson and surrounding streets (1P, 2P and 4P). Public transport is accessible via the 96 tram. There is bike parking at the front.

The waiting room has a bench seat of over 2m. Our consultation room chair has a seat width of 55cm, armrests and a safe working load of 350kg

The treatment table has a width of 75cm and a safe working load of 250kg

We have larger sized towels (for draping) and blood pressure cuffs to 250kg should you require.

Should you be of a size that is greater than the furniture provided as advertised, please get in touch. We have a range of options to support your care and will discuss how we can best provide you safe and comfortable care.
